Mount Waverley Medical Centre – Your local health centre

Mount Waverley Medical Centre is a fully AGPAL accredited, independently owned and run general practice. We provide medical care to the local communities of Monash city council area and surrounding suburbs. Our medical centre is modern and hygienic. We are conveniently located at Mount Waverley shopping/business precinct , corner of Stephensons Rd and Waimaire Dr, opposite of IGA store. There are ample free parking directly in front of clinic. Train station and Bus stop 623, 733 are only a short walking distance away.

Our team provide a range of services including women’s and men’s health, mental health and counselling, immunisation, pediatric and geriatric care. We also offer minor surgical procedures such as skin cancer check, skin lesion excision, ingrown toenail removal, wound care, contraceptive implant insertion and removal. Anti-wrinkle injection and acupuncture are also provided.

2024/2025 Christmas and New Year Day closure

Our clinic will close from 25/12/2024 – 12/01/2025 for annual Christmas/New Year Day closure, we will reopen @8:30AM on 13/01/2025, we wish all MWMC’S patient a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, we are looking forward to seeing you in the new year!

2025 Billing policy

In 2025, we will continue our “ Medicare Safety Net Policy”. If you visit/pay 4 times in weekdays from 1/1/2025, we will Bulk Bill all your following weekdays’ general consultations until 31/12/2025.

If you are student from 16-21YO, we will only charge 2 times, and all following weekdays’ consultations will be Bulk Billed until 31/12/2025.

For Children under 16YO or Pension card /Concession card holders, we will Bulk Bill all weekdays’ general consultations.

We don’t Bulk Bill for any patients including children and pensioners on:

All weekend visits/consultations
All special type consultations, including but not limited to: Surgery, wound dressing, Mental health care plan, work cover certificate, insurance report, driving license assessment …etc. Please make an enquiry to the receptionist for details.

Standard consultation fee is $92.85 (Medicare rebate $42.85), long standard is $132.90(Medicare rebate $82.90), meaning that out of pocket fee is $50.00.

Credit card/Debit card will incur transition fee of 1.8%, meaning standard consultation fee is $94.52 , and Long consolations fee is $135.29.

MWMC has been approved to participate from Phase 1b roll-out of national COVID-19 vaccine.
